A 42-year-old cold case murder in Southern Illinois has finally seen a major breakthrough, with police making an arrest after decades.
Arrest in Cold Case
The Illinois State Police have arrested George E. Bradfield, 76, from Owensboro.
He is facing five counts of murder linked to the 1984 killing of Lisa Ann Carnes, who was 26 at the time.
About the 1984 Case
Carnes was found dead on March 30, 1984, in a field in rural Massac County. The case remained unsolved for over four decades before new developments led to this arrest.
