A man was arrested in Laurel County after police said he entered a stranger’s home and attacked a pet dog over the weekend.

What Happened

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, 53-year-old Timothy Pharris walked into a home in London while a man was watching TV. He allegedly grabbed the dog by its collar and choked it until the collar broke.

The homeowner told deputies he did not know Pharris and had no idea why he entered the house.

Arrest Details

Deputies later found Pharris walking near Waterworks Road and Parker Road. Reports say:

  • He seemed unsteady
  • His speech was slurred
  • He appeared confused

When asked where he came from, he reportedly said he wasn’t sure.

Charges

Pharris was arrested and charged with:
