A woman from London has been arrested in connection with a fatal drug overdose case that has now been treated as a murder investigation.

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, 37-year-old Courtney K. Boone was arrested on Monday morning.

She is accused of selling fentanyl in 2025 to a 26-year-old individual who later died after using the drug through a meth pipe.

Case Background

Court records show that Boone was indicted in January. The overdose death was later linked to the fentanyl she allegedly sold, leading to a murder charge.

Custody Status

Boone is currently being held at the Laurel County Correctional Center on a $100,000 cash bond. As of now, no court date has been scheduled.

The case was investigated with help from the U.S. Marshals Service and its Central Kentucky Fugitive Task Force.
