Police said a man is being charged with hotel robbery

Police in Somerset arrested a man after receiving a tip about a robbery at a hotel construction site.

Arrest made at hotel site

The Somerset Police Department said officers responded on Sunday after getting a tip about suspicious activity at the Home2 Suites by Hilton under construction on Jefferson Drive.

When police reached the spot, they found a man inside the building.

Suspect identified

The suspect was identified as Terry S. Moore, 25. He was taken into custody at the scene without further incident.

Charges filed

Police have charged Moore with:

  • Third-degree burglary
  • Theft by unlawful taking

Authorities also confirmed that Moore had an active warrant for absconding from parole.
