The Corbin Police Department arrested five individuals over the weekend after serving an arrest warrant and two search warrants at a residence on Incline Road in Corbin.
Arrest and Drug Discovery
On Friday, the Corbin Police Department, along with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Marshals Service, executed a federal arrest warrant for a female resident of the home. After her arrest, officers discovered a large presence of illegal drugs inside the home.
The Corbin Police applied for and were granted a search warrant, which led to the discovery of a significant amount of methamphetamine, marijuana, narcotic pills, LSD, and various drug paraphernalia.
Burglary Investigation and Second Search Warrant
Following this, a second search warrant was executed at the same home in connection with a burglary reported on March 25. Police had gathered security footage identifying the suspects, who had broken into a residence and stolen several items. The footage revealed one of the burglars was a resident at the same location on Incline Road.
During the second search, officers found additional methamphetamine, a stolen handgun, and a large quantity of stolen property related to the burglary.
Arrested Individuals and Charges
A total of five individuals were arrested in connection with the drug and burglary incidents. The following charges were filed:
- Nikhil Parlulekar:
- First-degree burglary
- Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
- Theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a firearm
- First-degree possession of methamphetamine
- Possession of marijuana
- Illegal possession of a legend drug
- Drug paraphernalia
- Nicholas Hammond:
- First-degree burglary
- Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
- Theft by unlawful taking or disposition of a firearm
- Possession of methamphetamine
- Possession of marijuana
- Illegal possession of a legend drug
- Drug paraphernalia
- Scarlett Wyatt:
- First-degree trafficking in methamphetamine
- First-degree possession of a controlled substance
- Possession of marijuana
- Illegal possession of a legend drug
- Prescription not contained in a proper container
- Drug paraphernalia
- Wesley Croley:
- First-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
- Drug paraphernalia
- Victoria Day (arrested through a federal warrant):
- First-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
- Possession of marijuana
- Illegal possession of a legend drug
- First-degree possession of LSD
- Prescription not contained in a proper container
- Drug paraphernalia
Detention
Victoria Day was lodged at the Laurel County Correctional Center, while the other four suspects were taken to the Whitley County Detention Center.
The investigation remains ongoing.
