Athletics Edge Astros in Extra Innings
Brent Rooker’s pair of home runs, including a walk-off three-run shot in the 10th inning, helped the Oakland Athletics defeat the Houston Astros 12-10 in a thrilling game in West Sacramento.
Tyler Soderstrom also contributed with a solid performance, scoring three times and driving in three runs. Yordan Alvarez and Christian Walker homered for Houston, but Bryan Abreu (0-1) was the losing pitcher, retiring only one out of four batters in the 10th.

The Miami Marlins won 7-6 against the New York Yankees. Pinch hitter Graham Pauley’s two-run double sparked a four-run eighth inning that proved to be the game-winner.
